Simple Arancini.

I make this recipe when I want classic food. This recipe will appeal, even to the picky. A great snack for visiting guests or with an evening movie.

Ingredients:

1. 200g (07 oz) rice

2. Vegetable oil

3. 150g (5 oz) ball mozzarella

4. 2 cloves garlic

5. 3 stripes bacon

6. Parsley, sliced

7. 2 teaspoons dried basil, oregano

8. 1 teaspoon sweet pepper powder

9. Salt and pepper

For the coating:

13. 150g (5 oz) dried breadcrumbs

14. 2 large eggs

15. 150g (5 oz) plain flour

Instructions:

Boil the rice and leave to cool. Take a large bowl and put rice,  garlic, mozzarella, parsley,  sliced bacon, spices and mix well. Take three more bowls and beat eggs in one, flour in another, and breadcrumbs in the third. From the mass of the large bowl, form balls the size of the tennis ball. Dip each shaped ball first in the flour, then in the egg mixture and then in the breadcrumbs. Set aside. Fill half the pot with vegetable oil and heat it. If you don't know if the oil is properly heated, you can use one trick. Insert a toothpick in the oil. If bubbles form around the wood, oil is ready for frying. When the temperature is right, start frying the balls. Place the cooked balls in the bowl with a paper towel to absorb excess fat. Bon appetite!
