Beef Stew.

Beef Stew.

When you want a delicious, hearty dinner, this dish is just that. It will take time, but it is definitely worth it.

Ingredients:

1. 800g (28oz) beef

2. 3 tablespoons flour

3. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

4. 1 onion

5. 3 cloves garlic

6. 3 carrots

7. 500g (17oz) potatoes

8. 1l (33oz) beef broth

9. 100ml (3oz) red wine

10. 2 tablespoons tomato puree

11. 3 twigs thyme

12. 2 bay leaves

Instructions:

Put the diced beef in a large plastic bag with flour, tie up and shake the beef until it is rolled in all the flour (or roll it in the flour in another way). Heat the oil in a baking dish or large pan. Add the onions and cook for 2-3 minutes until soft. Add the garlic and fry another minutes. Remove the onions and garlic from the pan to the bowl. Put the floured beef in the pan. If you feel the need, you can add more oil. Roast the beef for 3-4 minutes until it is browned on all sides. Add the onions and garlic and the remaining ingredients. If all the broth does does not fit in the pan, add as much as you can. When the broth evaporates, add more. Bring to a boil and reduce the cooking temperature. Cover with a lid and leave to cook for 1 hour, don't forget to stir. After an hour, remove the lid and cook the stew for half an hour, stirring occasionally. Serve with boiled potatoes. Have a good meal!
